We can’t figure out what breed mix he is! He’s about 5 months old and pretty small but solid.
A happy little guy who loves everyone! He has Lots of kisses to give! Come and see Howie too!

K-9s for Veterans is a non-profit organization.
We rely solely on your generosity to operate.
We place the service dogs with the Veteran
at no cost to the Veteran.
We receive absolutely NO government funding!
Some examples of the costs to care for the 18 dogs they have presently and run the operation:
$38/ bag of dog food. We use one 30lb bag every other day.= $38×15= $570/month, $6840 /year
$95 / neuter, $125 / spay. Have 2 neuters & 4 spays to do soon! = $565 -there will be more dogs!
Present Veterinary medical bills owed for surgeries etc are approximately $3000.
$11 per dog / month for fleas and ticks. That is $198 / month for fleas and Ticks, $2376 / year
$6.50 per dog / month for heartworm. That’s $117 for Heartworms / month, $1404 / year
Land rental for the operation is $50 / day, $1500 / month, $18,000 / year
Plus ear wash, shampoo, utilities, cable, website hosting, software, gas, car repairs and maintenance, Veterans accommodations and meals, grounds maintenance and repair, cedar or pine mulch for the kennels, dog toys, collars, leashes, and more!
